With the heat still pumping we need to take extra care of our plants.

1. Keep them out of direct sun.

No one wants to be in the Aussie sun right now, especially not your plant babies. Move your plants three steps back from every window in your house because even the glass can get too hot and burn.

2. Watch out for the air-con flow

Air conditioners are bad for our skin and houseplants because they dry out the air to keep us cool. Make sure your plants aren't sitting in direct line of the AC.

EXTRA: Try adding a humidifier or a tray of rocks and water near your plants to keep the humidity up.

3. Keep the hydration up

We need to drink extra water in the summer, and so do our plants. Don't forget to give them a shower or bottom water twice a week minimum in this heat as they'll dry out and wilt.

TIP: When doing your watering don't forget to do a pest check. Look under the leaves and in the soil for any creepy crawlies, and use our Green Traps for the naughty gnats.
